Gen Z Beyond the Screen
The 2024 College Media Collaborative is a groundbreaking student journalism project bringing together aspiring journalists from the University of Utah, Salt Lake Community College, and Utah Tech University. This year's theme, "Gen Z Beyond the Screen," explores how digital culture shapes the lives, identities, and communities of Generation Z. Through in-depth reporting, multimedia storytelling, and investigative journalism, students will examine the impact of technology on everything from social connections and mental health to activism, education, and career development. By going beyond stereotypes, this collaboration seeks to provide a nuanced, authentic look at how Gen Z navigates an increasingly digital world.
